Help Paramus Woman Raise Funds For Cancer-Stricken Girl, 3

PARAMUS, N.J. -- A woman from Paramus is reaching out to a little girl with cancer not just because she wants to help, but because she knows what it's like to fight for your life.

A Paramus family is raising money for Selena, who is suffering from stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer.

Chemotherapy was once a way of existence for Simona Neuhauserova-Dlabal and it was her good friend Bisera who helped her through it.

"She cooked for me trying to satisfy my weird cravings after each chemo. She shopped for me when I couldn't. Her husband bought and delivered a massage chair for my achy body,” Neuhauserova-Dlabal says on a GoFundMe page she set up for Bisera’s niece.

Now she’s paying it forward to help her friend’s three-year-old niece Selena, who is fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma. She’s trying to raise over $10,000 to help offset the cost of the child’s medical treatment.

Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that forms in certain nerve tissue. At diagnosis, neuroblastoma cancer has often already spread but is usually curable. It’s more common in children than adults.
